"If you build it, they will come."
I know I was promising to make certain people famous, and I'm really sorry, I will do it tomorrow. I promise. That involves sorting out pictures and stuff, whereas I just have something small to say now.
Well anyway, it just occurred to me that the quote "If you build it, they will come" from the film Field of Dreams starring Kevin Costner is a really popular quote. Maybe it's just me, but I enjoy saying it. It seems to roll off the tongue nicely, along with old classics such as "We can rebuilt it, we have the technology" - 6 Million Dollar Man (not a film, I know, but still a quote); and "Drop it, or there'll be...trouble" - Robocop. I also do a mean ED-209.
Anyway, I'm going off on tangent again. The point is, how did one quote get so popular? I mean it's not particularly clever, it's pretty obvious really, and let's face it - the film's no Oscar winner, is it?
So maybe it is just me.

Robocop was filmed in Dallas in the 1980's. At the time, I drove a dark blue Chevrolet El Camino. It was used in the movie as a street prop. They put out a call for cool cars and picked mine. That is about as close as I can claim to being famous. Don't have any pictures of it, but it was 1980 Chevrolet El Camino Royal Knight. Wow, I was sort of on topic with a comment. That is weird.
