Fun things I did in the office today...

It was my first day back this week, as I was off sick yesterday. Even though I was off sick, there was still fun to be had as I could lie in bed and watch such classics as Napoleon Dynamite and some other film that can't have been that memorable as I can't for the life of me remember what it was, or even what it was about.

And just for the record I watched Napoleon Dynamite because Sarah incessantly kept plugging it! And she was right. Genius. I wish I could dance like that.

Anyway back at work and still in joy mode I was determined not to cease the fun, just because I was at work.

So here is a list of things deemed officially fun by me, and executed to perfection in my office:

-Managed to fit scintilla into a valid sentence. As in, "there's just the scintilla of hope that I'm going to get this finished in time".

-Devoured a cake that someone had bough in to celebrate their birthday. I followed it shortly with "Age is funny. 39 doesn't sound too bad, until you say 'that's half of 78'..."

-Learnt about Oracle Partitioning!

-Stood behind Sarah (female colleague) and made 'knife noises' whilst holding Mr Stabby.

-Told boss he looked gormless for fun.

-Scared the living life out of Mark (male colleague) by sneaking up behind him while he was at his desk, then simultaneously shouted "COOKIE!" and thrust the cookie right in front of his eyes.

-Telling the guy in charge of timesheets that I wasn't ever going to do my timesheet on a Friday afternoon like I was supposed, my reasoning being that "it is gay".

-Made Gremlin Noises loudly. "Yum, Yum."

-Didn't fill out my timesheet.

-Perfected round the world trip, using the yo-yo that the company had given to me.

Ahhh. That was a fun day. Anyway, it's nearly time for me to leave for my Ninjutsu lessons. I'm gonna flip out on someone sooo bad tonight....

napoleon dynamite is truly a cinematic work of something, not sure what, but I too loved it. Have been telling Foss to quit fucking goats and go rent it. perhaps you have more pull with him and can make him do it. I built you a cake.

Funny you should say that. Once, someone played a trick on me in the office. I can't remember what it was, but it wasn't a particularly cunning trick.

However, to get my revenge, I did the following:

-I taped down the switch on his telephone using the tiniest piece of sellotape so when he picked up the phone, it continued to ring, and he couldn't see the sellotape, making it difficult to work out what was going on.

-I unplugged the cable from the phone handset and left it in the socket, but not connected, so that the first time he picks up the phone, all he's left with is a handpiece with no cable attached.

-I removed the ball from his mouse and hid it on his desk.

-And plugged his monitor into an unused PC opposite, and vice versa.

-I pulled out his keyboard and mouse cable slightly so it looked attached to the PC, but wasn't.

-I Swapped the C and the X keys around.

-I'm fairly certain that wasn't all, but I can't remember now as it was ages ago.

Then when he got back to his desk, I called him using my mobile, and watched the panic arise as he first tried to log on (and unluckily for him - lucky for me - his password had both a C and an X, according to him later!), failed logging on, so tried to pick up the phone, and pretty much failed that too.

I'd say it took him about 30 minutes at least to get his PC back to normal! Each one of these are fairly annoying, but combine them all together, and even PC experts are gonna have un sorting it out!

Oh, and Jeff, Thanks for the cake, please put it in a jiffy bag and post it to me. Airmail is not necessary, I'm sure it'll still be good after a couple of weeks with various postal services.

We have one local video store but it is utter crap. I lost my membership card so they won't let me rent. I can't order another one and I can't register again because I've already registered. I could hassle Robyn into registering, but for the cost of that plus rental I may aswell buy the DVD.

Once my ISP is sorted I'll be downloaded Napoleon Dynamite. Or I'll just buy it on Friday when I get paid.

I'll have you know screwing goats is more addictive than injecting heroin, steroids and pigeons. At the same time.

Yay, glad you liked it - ND is the man!

Now as for all this frolicking with goats...is this just the case due to such classy birds like the girl in bank, as shown by the trusty camera phone, i see that goats are prob a necessary evil in your end of the world.
